How to link a Landlord contact to an Asset or Asset Group

When creating an individual Asset, or a Basic Accounting Asset group, you have the option to link a landlord contact.  If you, however, could not add the landlord's contact upon initial creation, it can still be added later on the system.

To link a landlord to an individual Asset or an Asset in a None Accounting Asset Group:

  • Navigating to the Portfolio Data tab and select Assets
  • View the Asset you wish to link an additional Landlord for
  • Select the Contacts tab
  • Link a landlord by clicking on the Man-plus icon

  • NB: Finally, make sure the landlord is the Primary Contact by clicking on the three dots next to the contact and select "make primary" - if it is not already set as the primary contact.
    • A Primary Contact can be identified by seeing a star with a checkmark next to the contact's name:

To link a Landlord to a Basic Accounting Asset Group:

  • Navigating to the Portfolio Data tab and select Asset Groups
  • The linking is done on Asset Group level since with Basic Accounting, you have one landlord for all the Assets in the Asset Group.
  • View the Asset Group you wish to link the Landlord for
  • Select the Contacts tab
  • Link a landlord by clicking on the Man-plus icon.

  • Ensure the landlord is the Primary Contact by clicking on the three dots next to the contact and select "make primary" - if it is not already set as the primary contact. A Primary Contact can be identified by seeing a star with a checkmark next to the contact's name:
