How to unlock your User account
Account Lockout
After 3 incorrect login attempts in a row, the User's account will be locked. Their account can by unlocked by the Account Owner, after which they would need to reset their password from the "Forgot your Password?" link on the login screen. In the event that the locked User account belongs to the Account Owner, they need to request in writing that the account be unlocked.
An account can be unlocked from their User profile on the settings page:
Basic Password Principles
- A User has to be invited by another User to register on WeconnectU
- The User will have to enter an OTP or validate via an MFA app every 24 hours or when logging in from a new or updated browser
- Accounts are locked after 3 failed login attempts and have to be unlocked by the Account Owner, or by a Support user in this is the Account Owner
- After the account has been unlocked, the User can then request a new password using the "Forgot your password?" link on the Login page
- Password have to be changed at least every 45 days
- This process will be managed by the system and you will be prompted to create a new password when this occurs
Our Password Policy
- Passwords must contain :
- Letters (lower and upper case)
- Numbers
- Symbols (special characters)
- Passwords cannot be re-used
